Once you put a scanner on it, it will not be portable. best look at a portable scanner. Also look at the HP Officejet H470 models. But you do have some good options listed as well.

I just bought the Canon Pixma MP560 printer/scanner/photocopier and had a problem with saving the scans I took. My PC doesn't have a CD-rom as I'm using an HP netbook, so I cannot properly install the printer's component software; instead I downloaded a driver off the internet which allowed me to print. I would also like to scan several documents but this is where the problems occur. Since I didn't use the CD installer, there is no storage place for scans (the only thing that shows up in the programs taskbar is the uninstaller and a readme file). How do I save the scans I take on my computer? Is there anyway I can download a fully functioning driver to my computer without using the CD? Also, a portable CD-rom is not an option.
